There's little doubt that our superb course is what sets Taunton & Pickeridge apart from every club for miles around, but a thriving clubhouse delivering great food and drink, really does add to the T&P experience.
If we had to sum the clubhouse up in one word it would be "welcoming" and once you get to know a few of the regulars and the staff you'll realise why we're so proud of our "member's club" heritage.
For many years we've offered social memberships, because we recognise that not everyone plays golf, we want out club to be a place that everyone can be a part of. Indeed, one of our most compelling marketing messages reads as follows:
Throughout the year we play host to many visiting golfers, as well as those attending business meetings, social events and of course weddings. Each and every one will be treated to the same hospitality that we extend to our members, and rest assured that whilst we maintain a dress code and ask for certain standards of behaviour, there's none of the "stuffiness" that was once associated with golf clubs.
Do take a moment to read about our food and drink, and if you're looking for a meeting venue, a private dinner or somewhere to host a very special day, then we're just a phone call away.
And then there's the view...
We're nestled high in the Blackdown Hills, with the Quantock Hills to the North and the Mendip Hills to the North-East. These hills provide the perfect natural backdrop to the closer surroundings and on a clear day it's possible to see Glastonbury Tor, at a distance of some 22 miles as the crow flies.
It's quiet too. The nearest main road is many miles away and apart from some clubhouse banter, the only noises you'll hear will be natural (although Jeff might still be mowing the greens if you're around early enough).
Come and See for Yourself
Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club really is perfectly located. We're in the middle of the countryside yet just a short drive (on a rather lovely road) out of Taunton. You'll find directions on our contact page so why not pop in for a spot of lunch? There's no need to book unless you'd like to join us for our rather excellent Sunday carvery, and if you'd like to arrange a tour of the club just give us a call.
