Taunton & Pickeridge is a Members Club.  The membership is very cosmopolitan and most members live in and around Taunton.  However, a significant number live further afield and are willing to travel the extra miles because of the advantages found at a Members Club and the superb golf course.

New members may be proposed and seconded by a member with at least 3 years standing.  Alternatively, new members are accepted if they are a member of another club and their membership is supported by a letter from their previous Club Secretary.

The Club does not operate a tee booking system.  Except when the tee is booked for a competition, match or society, the 1st tee is open for members on a first come basis.

The Men’s Section has regular competitions on about 3 Saturdays per month during the season plus a monthly Mid Week Medal.  We have 2 teams in the Somerset Avalon League and also enter teams in Somerset Golf Union Competitions.

We have an active and social Ladies Section who play on Tuesdays.  The Ladies also enter teams and play a number of friendly fixtures.

The Seniors’ Section plays a large number of friendly fixtures and also organise a number of competitions.

We have a good Junior Section with competitions being played every Monday afternoon from Easter to the end of the Summer Holidays.  The Juniors also play in the Somerset Junior League.  The Club has an active policy of encouraging Junior Golf as illustrated by 2 recent changes to make Junior Golf more affordable.
