The Ladies’ Section at Taunton & Pickeridge enjoys an enthusiast and dedicated membership. We welcome lady golfers of all ages and abilities, offering a wide range of competitions and social occasions for our members to enjoy.

Personnel

Our ladies’ captain is Jenny Bevan and our ladies’ vice-captain Jeanne Leader. To get in touch with Jenny or Jeanne Leader please visit the club’s contact page.

Competition Day

The 1st tee is reserved for the ladies’ section on Tuesday mornings, which makes for a very relaxed time on the course. Most weeks see a competition being run, and any lady member with a handicap is welcome to enter. Those who don’t wish to be involved in competitive golf are accommodated too, with the tee being available after the competitors have begun their round.

We regularly play golf with the men as well, with some of the mixed events providing hugely enjoyable occasions.

Club Matches

These are held throughout the year, offering a great way to play other courses and to enjoy their hospitality. Teams are entered into the following:

  • Daily Mail Foursomes
  • InterClub League
  • Rogers Cup
  • Wessex League
  • Quantock Salver
  • Centenary Plate

Social Event Fundraising

For 2016-17 the lady captain’s chosen charity is Yellowbric. Several fundraising events take place throughout the year, all of which are well supported and highly enjoyable.

Competition Results

We recommend that lady members register at www.howdidido.co.uk – This website is linked to the competition system and results are displayed there. If you need assistance with registration all of our committee members are more than happy to assist.
